"Hautala handles his material exceptionally well: he makes picture perfect observations and describes environments and characters naturally. The narration advances through flashbacks, but those flashbacks don't make the book hard to read because the sentences have rhythm and assuredness. The dialogue follows real-life use of language. It is good to be with Hautala."
