One morning 9-year old Petra Nilsson disappears on her way to school. Detective Harald Lindmark suspects that the case is in some way connected to a prior kidnap case involving a young boy, which shook the idyllic of the town of Forshäll one year earlier.
When Harald Lindmark, with his colleague Sonja Alder, arrived at the home of the missing child, the suspicion initially fell on the child’s parents. Their untidy home however showed no sign of the girl. Harald struggles to unravel the case as the school’s floorball coach goes missing at the same time as Petra, and as an unknown Toyota is spotted parked night after night in the car park of the missing girl’s block of flats by neighbours. Delving deeper into the missing girl’s case, Harald also comes across things from his own past: What kind of a father was he to his own sons? The clock is ticking. Each lost minute makes it harder for the police to find the missing girl. Torsten Pettersson’s first crime novel, Ge mig dina ögon, was awarded a prize in Söderström’s crime fiction competition and has garnered extensive interest abroad. Göm mig i ditt hjärta is an independent sequel to Pettersson’s maiden novel. The series revolves around Harald Lindmark, a detective in a small Swedish speaking town in Finland.
