"Its hard hitting dialogue and fast storyline make this novel enjoyable to read. The flashbacks and the characters’ personal ruminations enable the reader to linger on the text."
- Kymen Sanomat
"Posti writes cleverly and never loses her way, despite the size of the novel. She therefore achieves the status of a professional with her first attempt."
- Helsingin Sanomat
"It is a pleasure to read a good first novel, such as Piia Posti’s After the Winter Light (orig. Talven jälkeen valo). Posti’s langauge is delicate, yet hard-hitting. She builds up the structure of the novel cleverly. I also admire her way of describing emotions."
