Janne Hejgaard has written many books, both novels and nonfiction for children, for young and adult readers. Janne Hejgaard has sailed across the Biscaya, has "taken a shower" at the Victoria falls in Zimbabwe and paddled on the Mekong river. Her life is full of journeys and rendez-vous with funny, friendly and interesting people from many countries.
Some years ago she decided to write down some of these stories. The teasing African man, the wise Asian woman, the super intelligent Danish boy, odd religious rituals from Mexico, dangerous animals in Africa. And in the middle of it all – a curious Danish teenager girl, Lola, with wide open eyes and her own thoughts about the world around her... All this will be the series LOLA – IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WORLD. |
