Hannele Mikaela Taivassalo (born 1974) is a theatre personality and author from Helsinki. Oh, Come and See is Taivassalo's second novel. Her first novel, The Five Knives of Andrei Krapl , was awarded the respected Runeberg Prize. As well as these two novels, Taivassalo has written short stories and children’s books.

Her first novel The Five Knives of Andrei Krapl earned Taivassalo the Runeberg Prize. The language of the second novel, Oh, Come and See, charms as does the Neo Gustavian plot and the structure of the book, which Taivassalo cleverly shakes up.
