Esa Sirén was born in 1948 in Kouvola, Finland. After retiring from a long career as a hockey coach, he now works in his home town as a full-time writer. He found his interest in war literature early, as a schoolboy. Sirén’s novels have sold successfully, and he has established himself as the best war writer of his generation
